Project 1: Pre-Writing for Essay
Question Description
This week we are working on Essay 1. By this time, you should have your notes and annotation worksheets for your sources as well as the answers to the TED Talk questions to use to help write your essay. You also should have a working thesis. The next step in the writing process is to start pre-writing/drafting.
If you need to refresh your memory about the pre-writing or drafting process, please see the Lecture: Review PowerPoints: Essay Format & Tips on Writing
Step 1: Watch the following videos on pre-writing.
Step 2: Pick one of the following ways to complete a pre-write: outline, bubble-mapping, free write, list, organized notes, or a combination of more than one.
Step 3: PRE-WRITE in your chosen form.
Step 4: After you have completed your pre-write, submit your work to this submission link. This can be a file in doc, docx, pdf, or a scan or picture of handwritten work. (NOTE: this does not have to be a completed draft.)
