- As you are searching you will need to use your “Keywords” from your PICO question

- Use Boolean operators to expand or limit your search
See the Chapter PowerPoint and page 93 in the textbook for more information about using “AND, OR, and NOT” in your search.
- Reviews relevant to your search words will appear.
Select articles that seem to apply to your PICO question.
- Note that you can see the PICOs for the article by clicking on the “Show PICOs” below the review title.
- Review these PICO’s to help you understand the relevance of the PICO question to the study.
You must find 5 research articles from these databases that apply to your PICO question. These articles must be on primary (1 study) studies. Systematic reviews or meta-analysis cannot be used.
- There may be many articles that seem apply to your PICO question.
- Make sure to skim through the articles to ensure you pick 5 articles that actually apply to your PICO question, not just your topic.
The 5 articles that you choose must be less than 5 years old to ensure that only recent, relevant articles are used.
- Save the 5 articles that best apply to your PICO.

- Complete the “Literature Search Assignment Form” with the following information and upload into Blackboard

- List the following for the 5 articles (Does NOT need to be in APA format)
