For this discussion, you willIdentify a situation in your current workplace where evidence basedpractice has been or could be applied. Remember, this refers todecisions about patient care that are based on evidence that is producedby well designed research. You will need to provide a the research tosupport your decision. Use 3 professional references that are less than5 years old.

Your initial post must be postedbefore you can view and respond to colleagues, must contain minimum oftwo (2) references, in addition to examples from your personalexperiences to augment the topic. The goal is to make your postinteresting and engaging so others will want to read/respond to it.Synthesize and summarize from your resources in order to avoid the useof direct quotes, which can often be dry and boring. No direct quotesare allowed in the discussion board posts.

Post a thoughtful response to atleast two (2) other colleagues’ initial postings. Responses tocolleagues should be supportive and helpful (examples of an acceptablecomment are: “This is interesting – in my practice, we treated orresolved (diagnosis or issue) with (x, y, z meds, theory,management principle) and according to the literature…” and addsupportive reference. Avoid comments such as “I agree” or “goodcomment.”
