After reviewing this week’s learning resources, discuss the role of nature vs. nurture on child development, including the impact of genetics and environmental factors like socioeconomic status, cultural norms, etc.

In what ways do you think your parents influenced you? Were these influences more “nature” or “nurture?”

As a measure of your participation you will responses to the readings. In these posts, I want to see concrete examples where you critically reflect on the readings. This can include: citing specific photographs and photographers, theoretical connections between different readings/ideas, themes and/or the author’s own argument.

In your proposal, provide the following:

• A summary of your topic and your level of familiarity with it
• A general purpose statement (the goal of the speech)
• A specific purpose statement (your topic/thesis)
• The central idea
• Two potential details or examples that support your ideas (at least one scholarly support)
