Provide a 1-2 page document outlining your personal experiences with ethics and relate this to your aspirations as a future engineer

Question Description

Provide a 1-2 page document outlining your personal experiences with ethics and relate this to your aspirations as a future engineer. You should relate this back to the codes of ethics within your own field, but word them in a way that they are personal to you. This assignment is really up to you, to sit and reflect on what you think it means to be an ethical engineer and what type of engineer you aspire to be. If a type of approach/test within chapter 2 resonated with you, feel free to include this.

Side note: Often times when applying to be a “Professional Engineer” or for management positions some companies will ask for an ethics statement. If you don’t have a job yet, understanding your own viewpoint on ethics will help in interviewing. Most large corporations have begun to place a strong emphasis on ethics.

I want to be written with simple language. You can ask me any question so that the writing be relating to me.

Part 2

In Chapter 6 of Hillbilly Elegy, Vance recounts a parable that Mamaw often told about a man caught in a flood; the message is that God helps those who help themselves. (If you don’t remember this, or if you want to refresh your memory, it’s on page 86, about halfway down.)

We will see how this lesson has bigger reverberations throughout the book, but let’s focus on what we’ve read already. What are some of the ways that you’ve seen Vance help himself? Find at least two examples from any of the chapters you’ve read so far and explain how they demonstrate Vance’s effort to take control in his life.
