discussion on Research Paradigms for Research Design & Interpretation class

Question Description

Please Understand that if you take this assignment, you will need to take another that I post on Friday about the same papers … that other assignment you will get paid separately and the same as this and will only be about 4 paragraphs. It just makes it easier and sound the same to the professor if just one person writes it. I cant see the assignment until Friday but I know it is about this. only use the resources provided. this is for a foreign student, so the english can be very bad. do not use huge words!!! also 3 to 4 sentences per question will work.

Read chapter 4 in the textbook and the article. This week, Assalahi and Creswell introduced us to some of the philosophical assumptions that underlie the research designs we’ll be examining in more detail over the next several weeks. One of these – the positivist paradigm – has, arguably, become the “dominant” paradigm in education (and in many other fields). Practitioners and policy-makers tend to view positivistic research as being inherently more “useful” or “trustworthy”. Despite this, education remains a fundamentally social enterprise, and the work we do centers as much on social meanings, understandings, and perceptions as it does things we can easily measure.

For this week’s conversation, I’d like you to talk about a few things:

1.) First, based on what you’ve read, what would you say th e key assumptions that underlie the positivist and interpretivist paradigms are?

2.) Second, why do you think people tend to gravitate toward work operating under a positivist paradigm?

3.) Finally, do you agree? Should we encourage and emphasize work from one paradigm, or the other? Or is there room for both?

Week 6- Create an Instructional Draft

Question Description

By this point in the course, you should have a good understanding of Instructional Design models and best practices. You have reviewed case studies specifically on front-end analysis. Finally, you have written a goal and objectives in support of your Signature Assignment (to be completed in Week 8).

This week, you will submit a draft of your Signature Assignment.

Overview of Signature Assignment: For your Signature Assignment, you will create an instructional video along with a PDF/script containing graphics for illustrative purposes. Recommendation: Use a procedural (step-by-step) task for your draft and your Signature Assignment. See Week 8 for more information on the Signature Assignment.

For this draft, and to assist you as you create your Signature Assignment, you will turn in the verbiage for your PDF (without graphics) that will also serve as a script for your video. This is also a best practice—especially for ADA compliance. You’ll include graphics in your final Signature Assignment.

You will also include a description of your ideal learning environment for this instruction. It can be online or in person (as the eventual goal is to create an instructional video). You will want to include any technology that is required and any other pertinent information (time of day, length of the total learning experience, LMS, approximate classroom size, number of learners, etc.)

Length: 5-7 pages

References: Include a minimum of 4 credible resources

Your proposal should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect graduate-level writing and APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.

The task is solving a math word problem…geared toward elementary students

Week 3 – Assignment: Investigating Why Students Aren’t Learning

Question Description

Turnitin® enabledThis assignment will be submitted to Turnitin®.

Imagine it is halfway through the school semester, and you have a student in your class who struggles with the basic vocabulary and facts in the current science unit. The student will struggle with the next unit without mastery of the current unit. You have also noticed that the student will ask to go to see the school nurse multiple times each week, especially when it is time to work on the science unit.

Reflect on this scenario and consider how you can address the issues raised by the following questions:

  1. What need(s) is the student trying to meet?
  2. How does this scenario reflect behaviorism generally or classical conditioning, specifically? To what extent, if any, would giving rewards or punishments be helpful in this situation?
  3. How could you help the student find other ways to meet his or her needs?
  4. How would you help the student retain and retrieve the necessary information?
  5. How could you use what the student already knows to help the student learn the necessary information?

Length: 2-3 pages, not including title and reference pages.

References: minimum of 2 scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including seminal articles, may be included.

Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.

TRAINING INTIATIVES IN ANY OF THE SAUDI company

Question Description

An organization is a social unit of people that is structured and managed to meet a need or they come together to pursue collective goals. All the organizations have a management that defines the relations between functions and positions and subdivide and assign roles, responsibilities and authorities to perform defined tasks. An organization is defined by the element that is a part of it, its communication, its autonomy and its rules of action compared to outside events. By coordination and planned cooperation of the elements, the organization is able to solve tasks that lie beyond the abilities of the single element.

A very good training program is vital to the success of any business but surprisingly it is most often overlooked. Training is very important for organizational development and success. It is fruitful for the employers as well as the employees in an organization. If employee is trained well, he will become more efficient and productive. Training presents a prime opportunity to expand the knowledge base of all employees, but many employers find the development opportunities expensive. Employees also miss out on work time while attending training sessions, which may delay the completion of projects. Despite the potential drawbacks, training and development provides both the company as a whole and the individual employees with benefits that make the cost and time a worthwhile investment.

Week 4- Task Analysis

Question Description

In the Signature Assignment for this class (due in Week 8), you’ll create a PDF document or an instructional video appropriate in the context of professional development (K-12, higher education, or corporate institutions). To get you thinking in that direction, you will submit a simple task analysis for your topic. For the task analysis, use the questions for task analysis listed in Chapter 4 of the Brown and Green text. Note: This is just one example of questions that should be asked, but these are some of the key questions.

  • What is the task that individuals should be able to accomplish or perform?
  • What are the key components of this task (i.e., the skills and knowledge and individual needs in order to successfully complete or perform the task)?
  • What is the sequence in which a task is accomplished or performed and should be learned and taught?
  • How can you determine whether an individual is able to accomplish the task?

You’ll support your ideas with information from course literature and your own research. Please cite your supporting resources properly (just as you would do with a traditional paper).

Be sure to review this week’s resources carefully. You are expected to apply the information from these resources when you prepare your assignments.

Length: 3-4 pages

Find a newscast online and watch the A block (the A block is the segment of the show before the first commercial break and usually runs about 8-10 minutes or so.

Question Description

Find a newscast online and watch the A block (the A block is the segment of the show before the first commercial break and usually runs about 8-10 minutes or so.)

Post a link to the newscast here, then make a list describing what kind of stories aired during the segment and anything that you may have noticed from the terms we talked about Wednesday. You can use the abbreviations for the terms as well. For example:

1. Lead story – Package with the reporter introducing it in a live shot. The PKG included nat sound of traffic.

2. Second story – VO/SOT (SOT was an MOS)

etc.

It is important that you post the link so that I can look at it and grade your responses. The newscast can be a newscast from our area or another city, or a national newscast, however, it CAN NOT be a TrojanVision newscast. You can find complete shows on the websites or Facebook pages of many stations across the country. It does not have to be current, however, the show must be no more than five years old.
