Week 4 — Discussion Question #1

The SSA responds to needs other than retirement income and income for people with disabilities. Why do you think this has happened? What implementation strategy (see Chapter 3) has had an impact here and why?

Visual Representation of Correlation

Use the South University Online Library to find five visual representations of correlations. Discuss what is being shown in each representation and the results that can be drawn from it. You need to evaluate the visual representation of the correlation and prepare a summary in a 1- to 2-page Microsoft Word document by answering the following questions:

• Does it support the conclusions drawn based on it?
• Is the data presented clearly and logically?
• Can you think of any ways to improve it?

Your best friend in high school has announced he/she is dropping out of school without finishing his/her high school diploma. Write a personal note in letter format designed to encourage him/her to persevere and earn that diploma.

Strayer. Ways of the World: A Brief Global History with Sources. 3rd ed. Vol. 2

Start with the beginning of either Chapter 12 or Chapter 13.

Create a sentence outline, identifying key points in the textbook, while summarizing the general argument of the text.

When you have filled two sheets of paper (double or 1.5 spaced), with your outline (not an outline of two pages of the text!!) Do not try to squeeze an outline of the entire chapter into two pages.

First, you need to read the slides so you know the terms you are going to use and their definitions, and then write the paper.

The paper has to be like a story of my life using 25 sociological terms. You might need some info. about me to write them in the paper. I am an international student from Saudi Arabia, I came to the U.S in late 2013. You may ask me if you need more info for the paper.
