Select a stage in the lifespan (infancy, childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, adulthood, old adulthood) and a care setting (hospital, long-term care, home care, hospice care) and investigate how they interface and bullet five findings or realizations. For example, what did you learn through your investigation about infancy and hospice care?

In the usual aging process, an individual is vulnerable to health problems and experiences losses over time that affect stamina, motivation for self-care, and the ability to function. The challenge for the nurse practitioner is to address normal changes in aging and diagnosis and treat illness. Over time, the changes in aging are several geriatric syndromes which impact the health of the geriatric client.

• In this discussion identify common geriatric syndromes, address the impact on the aging process, and identify a client you have cared for with one of the syndromes.
