I have seen teachers turn on teachers to get a leg up with the administration or essentially ‘play the game’ of telling their bosses what they want to hear to get in favor. As Moore and Kreth suggest, technical communicators play an essential role in this process as communication strategists who must navigate and shape political situations to achieve their goals.

However, it is crucial to recognize that the extent to which the workplace is perceived as political may vary depending on factors such as organizational culture, power structures, and individual experiences.
