Part 1: 

A) In 1-2 paragraphs, explain Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) in your own words, and explain how CRT impact teachers and support students.

B) Next, review the chart on page 23 of the attached resource. The diagram indicates Competency 3: System Bias is the competency least addressed by states. Why do you believe this is? 

Part 2:

Write a letter (1-2 pages pages) to a school principal to address a school policy you believe is harmful to students. (This may be related to your own workplace, school/district your child/children attend, or may be hypothetical). In your letter, explain the specific school policy, explain the specific demographic(s) the policy impacts, explain how it impacts students, and offer an alternative. In your letter, you are using your own words. However, you need to refer to the course readings (at least 3-5 sources) to support your claims by using in-text citations.
